A package download can take some time. The duration of the process depends on the speed of your internet connection.
Check the device's current map name and version:
On the device launch the TomTom Navigation App.
Tap the screen to show the Main menu, then tap Help > About. You can find map name and version under "Map Name" and "Map Version". For example, Map Name = Europe and Map Version = 955.6743 stands for Europe map version 955.6743.
Find the series number
There're two ways to find the series number
➢ From the device
On the device, launch TomTom Navigation App.
Tap the screen to show the Main menu, then tap Help > About. The last 3 digits of the serial number is the series number.
➢ From the map SD card
Insert SD card into a computer
Find MGN_SERIAL.dat on the SD card.
Open MGN_SERIAL.dat with text-editing Software, such as Notepad, Microsoft Word.
The last 3 digits of the serial number is the series number.
Check if there is sufficient free space on your computer. The minimum free space requirement is 8 GB.
Make sure your internet connection is stable for the download.
Make sure you have an SD card reader.

How to check the device's current software version:
Boot up your Navigation system
Press the SETUP button to convert to AVN Settings screen.
Press the Sys.Info. Button
Press SW Info tab button and Check Model name.
Please update your software if your installed version is older than the latest version.
The latest version: R10.11-EU
CAUTION: The model name need to be the same as the "Update file" name.
Downloading your package
Once on https://mitsubishi.navshop.com/downloads/, select the series number dropdowns and find the number matching the series number you have just found. Click Search for Updates.
Click Search for Updates.
All available SW and map update packages for this series number will be listed.
Click on the Download button
3.1. For browsers supporting the download agent: a pop-up will appear asking you to select the location for download on the user's computer and download the package.
3.2. For browsers not supporting the download agent: the pop-up will show direct link(s) of the package to be downloaded on the computer.
Save the package contents onto the computer.
<Transfer Map Package>
Extract the package from the downloaded zip file.
The computer may need Third-Party software to extract the contents of the zip.
Windows Vista / Windows 7 / Windows 8 / Windows 10:
Right-click the zip file, and then click Extract All.
In the Extract Compressed (Zipped) Folders window, click Extract for all files.
Mac OS X operating system:
Double-click the zip file to extract the contents to the computer.
Install your map
Remove the map SD card from your Navigation System after car ignition position is off.
Insert the map SD card into an SD card reader connected to your computer.
Delete all contents from the SD card.
Important: You must first delete the old map from the SD card. Do not just replace the map content on the SD card.
Copy the package files from the unzipped folder to the SD card.
Windows:
Right-click the Content folder and from the menu, click Send To..., and then click the drive (for example: SD Disk E:) that represents your SD card. The folder is copied to your SD card.
Mac OS X:
Drag and drop the Content folder to the root folder of the SD card.
Note: Do NOT change the name or structure of the folder or the files in the sub-folder.
When the transfer is complete, safely eject the SD card from your computer.
Windows: Click the Safely Remove Hardware and Eject Media icon in the notification area and select the SD card.
Mac: Click the eject button next to the SD card in the side bar of a Finder window.

Extract the package from the downloaded zip file.
The computer may need Third-Party software to extract the contents of the zip.

Transfer Software package to device
Important: Please use USB memory stick for software update.
Connect the USB memory stick to your computer.
Copy "micom.bin" and "update.zip" to the root folder of the USB memory stick.
Note: It is recommended that there is no file available on the USB memory stick.
Copy the package files from the unzipped folder to the USB memory stick.
Windows:
Right-click the Content folder and from the menu, click Send To..., and then click the drive (for example: USB Disk E:) that represents your USB memory stick. The folder is copied to your USB memory stick.
Mac OS X:
Drag and drop the Content folder to the root folder of the USB memory stick.
Note: Do NOT change the name or structure of the folder or the files in the sub-folder.
When the transfer is complete, safely eject the USB memory stick from your computer.
Windows: Click the Safely Remove Hardware and Eject Media icon in the notification area and select the USB memory stick.
Mac: Click the eject button next to the USB memory stick in the side bar of a Finder window.
<Install Map Package>
Insert your SD card back into your device before car ignition position is on.
Launch the TomTom Navigation App. The new map is ready for use.
Tap the screen to show the Main menu, then tap Help > About to ensure the map loaded is identical to the version you downloaded.
<Install Software Package>
Important: Do not stop the start-up (Engine OFF) or remove the USB during the update. If you stop the start-up (Engine OFF) or remove the USB, you may get a fatal error in the system.
Connect the USB memory stick to your device.
Boot up your Navigation System.
Press the Setup button to convert to Settings screen.
Press the Update button on the Sys.Info screen.
Press "OK" button when pop-up to check USB memory stick.
Updates will be conducted twice. The update process takes about 10 minutes.
The first update updates the System. During the update, the system reboots.
The second update packs the System. This helps to speed up the system when booting.
Important: When the first update is completed, a popup will appear on the Home screen. You must press the "OK" button.
Check System version to see if the installed version is identical to the version you downloaded. CAUTION: The model name needs to be the same as the "Update file" name.
